I just want to thank this guy for creating the amazing thing that we call the Internet. Its the thing that lets me keep in contact with everyone during my trip, write this blog, call via Skype, and search for bus tickets and train times. Most importantly though, it let me download the brand new album by Gregg Gillis Its pretty sick. So I am downloading images into Lightroom and giving it a listen. Special note: Brandon H — you’re going to absolutely go crazy for this drop.
Yesterday I toured around the Medina with Dave, Tom, Jo and Carissa (Brits) and we got lost in the Souks (markets) and then got lost some more, but it was fun and then we toured 3 different museums (CULTURE!). I took a bunch of photos, tried out some HDR stuff, and generally just had a good time. Marrakesh is very stressful compared to Essaouira – the salespeople are very aggressive in their pitches, and the city itself has a very high energy vibe. Its been very interesting to get such a different view of Morocco based on all its different cities.
I hope all is well with everyone – Ill be posting more in the next couple days, if not tonight again.
Monday I head to the desert for a 3 day 2 night Sahara trek. It looks like it could be amazing. Ill just have to be extra careful to keep all of the very fine sand off my cameras and laptop.
